Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Neile grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She moved to Norman and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. Neile also has a dual Master’s degree in Human Resources and Development and Management from Webster University.
She joined KNWA in 1997, working her way to the evening news anchor position. You can catch her at 5, 6, & 10 Monday through Friday on KNWA Northwest Arkansas News.
Neile’s work on the news desk doesn’t stop her from being an active volunteer in the community. In 2008, the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal named her a 40 Under 40. The same year, Neile was named a Yoplait Champion for her work in the fight against breast cancer, one of 25 people selected nationally that year. She has also been honored with the Cameo Award for Volunteerism from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. In 2009 the NWA chapter of the A.F.P. honored Neile with The Special Judges Award, only the second time in history someone has received this distinction. Only she and Arkansas legend Frank Broyles have received this honor. Also in 2009 The Arkansas Volunteer Coordinators Association NWA Chapter honored Neile with the Community Impact Award for her service to Northwest Arkansas.
Her Special Series ‘Hope For Peace’ earned Neile top honors from the Arkansas Chapter of the Society for Professional Journalist.
She has her HAM radio License, has done work toward her pilot’s license, and is currently enjoying life with her husband Greg and looking forward to their next opportunity…whatever it might be.
