Although born in Buffalo, New York, Tales of Nottoway author J. L. Serediuk lived most of her life in Ridgeway, Ontario, a small town near Lake Erie. For the last ten years, she and her husband and family have enjoyed living outside of Fredericksburg, Virginia, where the snowflakes are few and far between.

Most of her working career has been in some area of the money business whether it was banking, insurance products or mutual fund sales in both Canada and the United States. She is an engaging speaker, having spoken at business seminars and shared her testimony on several occasions. She has been writing for her friends and family for many years but was recently afforded the opportunity to bring this tall tale to life.
