The author was a child of the Great Depression, finishing High School when WW2 was raging, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps where he became Flight Engineer and gunner on a B-24.  Discharged, he went to Penn State for a B.S., majoring in science –taking nuclear physics, geology, electrical engineering, mechanics, metallurgy, etc.

Upon graduation, he married Patricia and they recently celebrated their 59th
anniversary; they parented three children, Keith, Mark and Amy.

He worked for the National Security Agency, then in Arlington, Virginia, as Research Analyst for 2 ½ years;  returning to Altoona he worked for IBM 17 ½ years as Customer Engineer, and then System Engineer.

At age 37 he began to go blind; five ophthalmologists could not help, so he relied upon prayer and faith in God, Who perfectly restored his vision.

He left IBM to work for Penn State as a software Systems Analyst where he designed systems and wrote the programs, retiring after 13 years.

His hobby is chess; maintaining an Expert rating for many years; he won a number of tournaments, and had wins versus three International Grandmasters. He is
also an avid reader of science works in an effort to keep up with recent developments.
As a boy he took part in many sports, and is now a longtime supporter of Penn State
football.

He served over 20 years on the Board of Directors and 3 years on the faculty of
the Altoona Bible Institute, and as a Deacon in his Independent Bible church.

Appalled by this nation’s turning away from God, he wrote “God Did It: Not the Big Bang and Evolution” in hopes that it might waken others to truth and sow the seed that might point them to Jesus Christ as Savior.
