About the Author
Dr. Mangal Dan Dipty lives with his wife, Wendy Dipty, in Reno, Nevada. He was an individual, family, and group psychotherapist in a private practice in Anaheim, California for over fifteen years. His treatment method is eclectic, encompassing Gestalt, cognitive, rational-emotive, and behavioral approaches. He holds a master’s degree in social work and a doctorate in clinical psychology.
He has more than twenty-five years of professional experience in his practice as a caseworker, counselor, and administrator. He has been Director of the Riverside County Outpatient Mental Health Clinic and Oral Commissioner of the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners in Southern California. He has provided therapy through a variety of mental health settings including Family Care Centers of Los Angeles and Orange County Emergency Treatment Services.
His workshop and seminar topics include “Assessment and Treatment of Spouse/Partner Abuse” and “Family Violence Prevention Strategies” for professional audiences such as social workers as well as marriage, family, and child counselors.
